Bio
1989
Samantha ROTHMANN was born in Burgundy, near Dijon.

2000
She started writing her first book, Mémoires d’un serpent à lunettes, an autobiographical narrative inspired by her unconventional academic journey.
2011
She graduated at the I.N.S.A. Centre-Val de Loire, a general engineering school based in Blois.

2013
After an initial experience in teaching, she was hired as a research and development engineer in the metallurgy sector.

2021
She completed her first novel, Mémoires d’un serpent à lunettes.
2022
As a freelance writer, she published her second novel, Alphan, and Les aventures de Plumeau, a children's comic strip. Alphan was a finalist for both the R.C.F. Middle School Grand Prize 2022.

2023
She published Les fourberies du chat Théodule for toddlers, the collection of poems Fantasmania and the children's horror series Fais ta prière. Alphan was translated to English under the title The legend of the oak tree.

2024
Samantha received the first prize for short stories from Nuits-Saint-Georges for her unpublished short story The Little Secretary, set to be released at the end of 2024.
She illustrated a new edition of La Fontaine's Fables, as well as the children's book Mouchka, the Little Windmill,co-written with author Robert Viel-Glotoff. Finally, the collection of short stories Injustices and the feel-good novel Les tribulations d’un auteur will be published at the end of the year.
Samantha ROTHMANN has written 16 eclectic books so far, among which The legend of the oak tree (English version of Alphan).
